Here we go again

my sister-in-law called tonight.... She is pregnant again. Her response... "If it makes you feel better, we weren't trying". Yes, after trying for nearly four years it makes me feel much better that you didn't even try and still got pregnant.

Sigh

Been crying ever since.

I am so sorry! Your SIL is definitely thoughtless. How could that make you feel better? I wish I could just smack her for you.

Sunflower

I am sorry too. That was a really unnecessary comment for her to make. People really need to be more considerate.

Jenny

Seriously? She SERIOUSLY thought that might make you feel better????? I don't know what to say to that without being incredibly insulting towards her.

*sigh*

I'm so sorry. :(

Janet

I am so sorry and I agree...what she said was definitely thoughtless ((HUGS))

Toni Rapp

I am sure she didn't mean it to come out that way, but WOW what a truly insensitive remark. I am so sorry :(

There are many bad things that a newly pregnant can say that stings. This however, was just thoughtless. I'm so sorry. Your tears are felt.

I think that's just about the worst thing you can say to an infertile person other than "Ha ha! I'm pregnant and you're not!" Although the longer I go through this, the less I am surprised by the dumb shit people say. They don't mean to be jerks, they just really don't get it. I'm sorry.

Last year my sister called to tell me she was pregnant the day after my D&C from my miscarriage. I wanted to shake the shit out of her! HUGS!

Evelyn

The comment shows that fertile people really don't get it. Really? How on earth would that make you feel better?

I saw a sign that made me laugh yesterday....

"for so many smart phones, there are a lot of stupid people!"

Um. Yep.

Hang in there.

I am so sorry! People are so insensitive, especially when they think that they are being sensitive. It sucks enough to have a second pregnancy from your sister, without the admittance that it wasn't planned when you've been trying so hard. Grrr, I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
